We live in challenging political times with many countries, including our own, turning inward and working to limit cross-border trade and alliances. Austin has earned a new level of global visibility and is using this stature to build bridges. In a series of 5-minute "lightning talks," this session will introduce Austin's established diplomatic network to our startup and tech communities, emerging ambassadors for the new economy. Following the talks there will be a networking reception for further 1:1 conversation.
We'll be hearing from policymakers and influencers from the European Union, Ireland, the City of Austin, GlobalAustin, SXSW, Capital Factory, Austin Startup Week and more.
Food and drink courtesy of the EU - and one lucky attendee will receive a badge to SXSW Interactive 2018 courtesy of SXSW! Winner must be present and have provided a business card or equivalent at the event before the 4:30 drawing.
After the session, you're welcome (and encouraged) to take part in the
ASW Startup Crawl, a great opportunity to learn more about Austin's unique startup community and culture.
